to Sherry Corbett
(Educator, Historic Building Rehabber, Feminist, and
Ballroom Dancer)
Since Sherry's tragic death in
2002, the residents of the Dayton Lane Historic District, which she founded,
have pursued the goal of a memorial to celebrate her achievements. In time, a kinetic sculpture was
commissioned and has now been completed by the internationally known artists -
"The MaGaw's of Boston." We are now
awaiting site preparation efforts to begin. We anticipate a summer, 2011, dedication date. In fact
please check the website below for the latest update. I read a nice
article in the Enquirer, on Monday, July 26, 2010

request that all those who are interested in attending the dedication monitor
the Dayton Lane website ( www.historicdaytonlane.org ) for date,
time and location information as it is finalized and then let us know if you
plan to attend. This information is
